Interested in Playing with the SSO?
The SSO offers opportunities for local musicians to perform great orchestral music for appreciative audiences. Interested musicians should inquire through our Personnel Manager, Amy Wilkinson. The SSO is currently looking for musicians who play Trombone, Percussion, and Strings.
Interested in becoming a Member of the Board?
Our Board Members are a group of talented, organized people who know how to get things done. If you would like to join us to support the SSO as a great community asset, please contact our Vice President, Diane Sengstacke.
Interested in volunteering a skill or talent?
Our volunteers take tickets, usher, set up and strike the stage and provide other support on concert nights, help with fundraisers and special events, help the librarian sort and file piles and piles of music, proofread our media, provide graphic arts skills, distribute posters, etc. If you would like to volunteer please contact our Orchestra Manager, Kathy Frawley.
Interested in advertising with us?
ProgramAdsForm: Our amazing volunteer Jerry Potter manages our program and program ads. Area businesses place ads in the SSO program and on the SSO website as a means of marketing directly to our patrons, and like to be associated with the sterling reputation of the SSO. In exchange, advertisers receive:
- Logo placement and/or designation on our website, e-newsletters, and concert program books.
- Onstage curtain speech acknowledgement
- Opportunity to introduce the orchestra at one concert
- And, of course, tickets.
