I hope you are having a great summer! We’re gearing up for another season – our 31st, which includes our performance at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in NYC! Please review the attached season repertoire list and schedule now and contact Alicia Farrell at 410-322-8984 if you foresee any conflicts (students should call Ms. Anne Pape the student liaison, at 410-272-7420).
Tuesday, August 28th, marks the SSO's first rehearsal!
Rehearsals begin promptly at 7:00 p.m.! Please plan to arrive early, prepared for rehearsal! If you know you will be late or unable to attend rehearsal, please contact the Personnel Managers listed above and below. If Harford County Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather, either all day or in the afternoon-only, the Tuesday evening rehearsal will either be cancelled or moved to Lorien depending on road conditions. Remember, there is a No-Smoking policy on all County school grounds and on the John Carroll campus.
Please make every effort to attend rehearsals and arrive early! Our success depends upon good rehearsal attendance!

SCHEDULE - SUSQUEHANNA SYMPHONY 2007-2008 Season
Tuesday night rehearsals - 7:00-9:15 p.m. in the C. Milton Wright High School instrumental rehearsal room (route 543 in Bel Air), beginning August 28th!
-Rehearsals at Lorien when C. Milton Wright is not available (TBA)
-There will be no rehearsals in December after the Dec. 8th concert.
-Bel Air Band Shell rehearsals and concert – Sunday, June 1, 2008, 7 p.m. (with rehearsals the three Tuesday’s prior to June 1)
Dress Rehearsals and Concerts at John Carroll School (unless otherwise marked)!
Friday, November 2nd – Dress Rehearsal 7-10 p.m. at Aberdeen HS
Saturday, November 3rd – Rehearsal 2:30-4 p.m.; Concert 7:30 p.m. at Aberdeen HS
Sunday, November 11th at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in NYC:
Bus leaves from a Park and Ride TBA at approx. 11:15 a.m.
Rehearsal time (will need folding stands for rehearsal) – 3:00 p.m. at Polish & Slavic Culture Center, 177 Kent Street, Brooklyn, NY 11222; Between Manhattan Ave. & McGuinnes Blvd. It is a one way street entering from Manhattan Avenue going down to McGuinnes Blvd. Second building on the left. Looks like a church.
People traveling by cars can park on Manhattan Ave. (meters) or Kent Street, or any other street nearby. A bus for member’s families may be provided for a fee.
Directions from our rehearsal area in Brooklyn to Manhattan via the subway:
Walk 4 blocks south from Kent and Manhattan Ave. to the subway station at
Greenpoint Ave. and Manhattan Ave. Take the "G" train to Queens Plaza;
change to a "V" train, which takes you to 50th street at 6th Ave. (Ave. of
the Americas). Get off and walk one block to Fifth Avenue and St. Patrick's Cathedral.
St. Patrick’s Concert time – 7:00 p.m. (concert will last about one hour)
Percussion must take a snare drum, pair of crash cymbals, two different sizes of triangles, and orchestra bells to NYC.

First rehearsal – Aug. 28; Dress rehearsals and Concerts at John Carroll except the November dress rehearsals and concert, which will be at Aberdeen HS. There will be Friday dress rehearsals for all Maryland concerts!
