Sheldon Bair, Founder and Music Director

Board of Directors

The SSO Board of Directors is elected by the members to oversee and advise on the overall operation of the organization.  The Board’s function is to support the orchestra in several key areas including strategic planning, financial planning, community relations, and fundraising to sustain the orchestra.  Meetings are held every two months; approximately two weeks prior to a concert.  all orchestra members are invited to attend.

The SSO can have up to 19 board members who serve three year terms.  Board members do not have to be a playing member of the orchestra, and in fact, it may be easier if they are not. 1. Dr. Andre' E. Godsey, Sr.

Mr. Bair, it was an honor to meet you at your most recent concert on October 12, 2013. My name is Dr. Andre’ E. Godsey, Sr. I wore a bowtie and we talked about getting your review on my first symphony, Symphony Number One: Themes for Soren Kierkegaard”. I would consider it a life time achievement to have it performed under your direction with your symphony. I am in need of getting your email address to send the manuscript to you electronically in Adobe PDF form. I really appreciate your fresh approach to the symphonic presentation of the classics and the freedom to allow new artists to premiere their work to the public. I hope to hear from you soon and thanks so much for a great concert.
