Local Music Teacher, Barbara has played Oboe with the SSO since 1982. She grew up in Cinnaminson, NJ. She loves playing in the SSO, and according to her “music is so important in my life, and the fact that I was able to find a group in which to play made living in Harford County so much better!” So much better in fact that she met and married Sheldon Bair through the SSO! Barbara enjoys all the wonderful friends and musicians she has met over the years with the symphony.
Why Barbara joined the SSO
I wanted to find a place to play! I so admired my high school oboe teacher, Marion Norcross, and the fact that she played in two community symphonies in New Jersey. I wanted to be able to do the same!”
