Alison Redman

Alison Redman has played Violin with the SSO from 2012-2014, and 2017 to the present. Alison holds a Bachelor’s degree from Towson University where she studied Music Performance on violin. She currently attends Drexel University working towards a Master’s degree in Human Resources. Allison currently works as a civilian supporting the United States Army. While attending Towson University, Allison held the position of Concert Master of the Towson University Symphony Orchestra where she lead the group for various concerts and events. In addition, Allison won the Towson University Talent Award for her performance of the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto. Allison now works as a freelance musician and a soloist for weddings.

In June 2020, Allison was named Miss Maryland 2020. Allison has played as a soloist in the Miss Maryland Scholarship Organization for five years and has won multiple Miss Maryland Scholarship Organization talent awards for her performances on violin. She has dedicated her year of service to promoting music throughout the state with her social impact initiative The Treble Is: Keeping the Music Alive.

In her free time, Allison enjoys riding horses, scuba diving, and traveling.

To have opportunities to perform on violin and read more orchestral music.”
