“In 1978, Maestro Bair and I were neighbors. Sheldon mentioned that he had just started an orchestra. My wife mentioned that I played drums. Sheldon asked if I would like to join. I said I’ll try it. It has been a challenging, rewarding, and amazing experience to perform great music with great musicians. Our performances in NYC at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral and Carnegie Hall were particularly memorable events. I also recall constructing and playing two unusual instruments – a “thunder sheet” for a David Finko piece and an “anvil” for the Feuerfest Polka. Did I forget to mention I have fun too?”
